Level Calendar is a calendar app. The short version: your data is used to run the product for you, and for nothing else. We don't sell it, we don't run ads, and we don't share it except with the infrastructure providers that host the service.

What we collect

Account details. Your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the name and profile picture Google shares for sign-in. Signing in with an email link stores only your email address.

What you create. The time slots, tasks, reminders, levels, and settings you put into the app. That's the product; it lives in our database so it can be shown back to you.

Phone number (optional). If you opt in to text or call reminders, the mobile number you enter and verify in Settings → Notifications. It is used only to deliver the reminder texts and calls you asked for.

Google Calendar data (optional). If you explicitly connect a Google account in Settings, we store encrypted access tokens and sync events between Level Calendar and the calendars you choose. We only touch calendars you select, and disconnecting removes the stored tokens. You can use every other part of the app without ever connecting Google Calendar.

Google user data — Limited Use

Level Calendar's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google Calendar data is used only to provide the calendar sync features you turn on — never for advertising, and never transferred to third parties except as needed to provide those features or as required by law.

How your data is used

To operate the app: showing your calendar, syncing with Google when connected, emailing you sign-in links when you request them, and delivering the reminder notifications you configure — push, email, or the opt-in texts and calls described below. Notification preferences are yours to change or turn off in Settings at any time.

Text messaging (SMS) and calls

Texting is strictly opt-in: you enter your mobile number in Settings → Notifications, agree to the displayed consent disclosure, and confirm a verification code before any reminder text is sent. Message frequency varies with your reminders; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. The full program description lives at levelcalendar.com/sms.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number, SMS consent, and message history are never sold or shared — they are used solely to deliver the texts and calls you opted into, via our messaging provider (Telnyx) acting on our behalf.

Where it lives

The service runs on Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), and Brevo (transactional email). These providers process data on our behalf to run the service and nothing more. Google OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest.

Cookies

A session cookie keeps you signed in. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Deleting your data

Email hello@levelcalendar.com from your account address and we'll delete your account and everything in it. Disconnecting Google in Settings removes the stored calendar tokens immediately on its own.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll note it here with a new effective date. Questions welcome at hello@levelcalendar.com.
